ZenX to Hold the Future Vision Consortium Event "New Business Creation in the Time-Value Economy" (June 4, 2026)

A practical guide to new business creation through large company × startup co-creation, starting from Nissan Motor Corporation's Ambitious Time and future scenarios

ZenX Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya, Tokyo; CEO: Masahiro Goto) will hold the Future Vision Consortium event "New Business Creation in the Time-Value Economy — Insights from Nissan's Ambitious Time and Future Scenarios" (June 4, 2026; co-host: Nissan Motor Corporation) on Thursday, June 4, 2026.

This event is positioned as part of the Future Vision Consortium, led by ZenX and Frost & Sullivan, the US-born global research and consulting firm (Japan entity: Frost & Sullivan Japan K.K.). Starting from Ambitious Time, the mid- to long-term vision championed by Nissan Motor Corporation, participants will discuss the redefinition of mobility spaces and the potential of new business models. Going beyond mere information sharing, the event draws on a real project to explain—end to end—how to read technology trends and megatrends, translate them into businesses, and execute through co-creation with startups.

A practical guide to new business creation through large company × startup co-creation, starting from Nissan Motor Corporation's Ambitious Time and future scenarios

■ Background: Changing the Structure That Keeps Large Companies and Startups Apart

Many companies struggle with challenges such as "not knowing how to advance new businesses," "being unable to turn trends into businesses," and "startup collaboration failing to progress." Behind these lies a structure in which megatrend understanding, business design, and external collaboration are disconnected from one another.

On the large-company side,

・It is hard to identify promising technologies
・It is difficult to find the right partners
・Internal coordination and decision-making take time

for reasons like these, new businesses struggle to move forward.

Meanwhile, on the startup side,

・Few touchpoints with large companies
・The collaboration process is hard to see
・Decision-making speed and timing do not align

such challenges persist.

This difficulty in connecting large companies and startups has become a barrier to innovation.

In addition, against the backdrop of the Tokyo Stock Exchange's review of listing maintenance criteria (a policy that, from 2030 onward, will require a market capitalization of at least 10 billion yen five years after listing), startup growth strategies are rapidly shifting from the traditional IPO-first path toward diverse strategies including M&A and capital and business alliances with large companies. On the large-company side, while the need for startup collaboration is rising rapidly, high hurdles remain in the implementation phase, such as "many cases stalling at the PoC stage" and "friction caused by differences in organization and decision-making processes."

Through the Future Vision Consortium, ZenX has provided end-to-end support spanning technology and megatrend analysis, future scenario planning, startup matching (on the scale of 150 companies per year), and hands-on support from PoC through commercialization. At this event, that approach will be presented concretely, using Nissan Motor Corporation's real project as the subject.

■ Activities of the Future Vision Consortium

The Future Vision Consortium was established as a platform that supports collaboration between large companies and startups end to end, from concept through commercialization. Through the six activity areas below, it provides an execution-oriented ecosystem that goes beyond mere matching.

1. Technology and Megatrend Analysis

Viewing social change driven by technological evolution as an irreversible current (Inevitability), we systematically organize megatrends. We deliver them not as mere trend awareness but at a resolution that can be translated into business opportunities.

2. Future Scenario Planning

Through scenario design working backward from the future, construction of multiple future hypotheses, and design of strategic options premised on uncertainty (Uncertainty), we create a state in which companies are ready to act. We connect strategy design with people's intrinsic motivation (passion index), structuring the "ability to see things through."

3. Research and Matching of Promising Startups

Leveraging touchpoints with roughly 150 startups per year, we deliver execution-oriented matching aligned with each company's strategic themes and challenges. Beyond mere introductions, we provide co-creation opportunities premised on business synergy and implementation feasibility.

4. Needs Assessment and Co-Creation Theme Design

Starting from each company's management and business challenges, we identify the themes to pursue, design domains suited to co-creation, and develop scenarios at a granularity that can be turned into PoCs. We design co-creation themes with commercialization in view, preventing initiatives from stalling at the PoC stage.

5. Hands-On Support from PoC to Commercialization

We provide end-to-end support from the verification (PoC) phase through commercialization and scaling. Through verification and KPI design, coordination of internal and external stakeholders, and organizational design for commercialization, we provide the execution capability to turn ideas into viable businesses.

6. Networking Among Participating Companies and Creation of Co-Creation Opportunities

Through events and sessions, we continuously create venues where companies, startups, and experts intersect. Rather than one-off contacts, we aim to build an ecosystem premised on mid- to long-term co-creation relationships.

■ Event Highlight: Where Nissan's Ambitious Time Meets Megatrends

Ambitious Time, driven by Nissan Motor Corporation, is a project that leverages autonomous driving, AI, and electrification technologies—within an ecosystem joined by 20 partner companies—to transform travel time itself into a venue for new value creation. This event will explain the behind-the-scenes story of driving this project over seven years and how it connects to global megatrends, from the following perspectives.

■ Event Highlight: Where Nissan's Ambitious Time Meets Megatrends

The core of this event is delivering these trends not as mere knowledge but at a resolution that can be converted into concrete business opportunities.

It will also delve into the concept of the "passion index (EQ: intrinsic energy)," essential for seeing a seven-year project through to the end. Strategy can be designed, but the strength to carry it through to completion cannot emerge without "structuring passion." Using real examples, the event will explain approaches for transforming organizations and people so they treat uncertainty (Uncertainty) not as a "risk" but as an "opportunity."
