Toward a Society Where No One Has to Give Up Parenting or Career - An Industry First: AI-Powered Career Support and a Babysitting Service Begin Collaboration
The life-and-work platform co-created by the two companies goes into full operation
ZenX Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya, Tokyo; President and CEO: Masahiro Goto; hereinafter "the Company") has begun a collaboration with Peshukuran Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Momone Ikegami; hereinafter "Celeste Sitter"), operator of the in-home babysitting service "Celeste Sitter."
Together, the two companies aim to create an environment in which people raising children can entrust their children with peace of mind while always being able to envision their next career. Under the banner of "ending the forced choice between parenting and career," they are fully launching an industry-first platform that fuses AI-powered career support with in-home babysitting.

■ Background of the Collaboration — A Social Structure Where Childbirth and Childcare Cost People Their Careers
Parents envision their next career, yet, consumed by the childcare in front of them, they lack both time and information. Companies, meanwhile, are aware of a latent pool of potential returners with both skills and passion, but have no means of meeting them. We believed that if the services of our two companies — one providing peace of mind, the other opportunities to take on challenges — were brought together, parenting and career would no longer have to be an either-or choice.
-
Roughly 30% of women leave their jobs upon childbirth or childcare (Source: Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare / National Institute of Population and Social Security Research, "16th Japanese National Fertility Survey").
-
About 50% of working women report having felt anxious about balancing work and childcare and having considered changing jobs or resigning — against a backdrop of pressing concerns such as the childcare waiting-list problem and the fear of being unable to keep working without a nursery placement (Source: en Japan, "White Paper on Anxiety over Balancing Work and Childcare").
-
Many childcare workers also struggle with a lack of opportunities to improve their skills. (Actual voices: "There is no environment for skill development or career advancement," "There is no environment for deepening professional expertise," "There are too few opportunities to relearn," "It is hard to envision a future career path.")
■ Key Points of the Collaboration — Toward a New Social Infrastructure Bridging Parenting and Career
By linking childcare services and career support in one stop, the companies will build a platform that transcends the constraints of time, place, and information.
-
Turning free time into career investment
The time created by sitters is put toward learning, side jobs, and preparation for career changes. Parents and childcare staff receive seamless support across the cycle of learning, trying, and working. -
Optimal matching powered by AI
ZenX's AI analyzes skills, aptitude, and desired conditions and connects them instantly with company needs. It makes latent "openings for talent" visible, contributing to productivity gains across society. -
Ripple effects across regions and society
Combining Celeste Sitter's regional network with ZenX's corporate network, support will extend to regional communities and even residents overseas. In the long term, the companies aim for a circular model that also contributes to countering the declining birthrate and to "tashi-jakureika"* — a shift toward more children and a younger society. (*Tashi-jakureika = a social structure rich in children and young generations.)

■ Comments from the Executives

"We want to keep parenting from being isolating and connect it to the future" — Momone Ikegami, Representative Director, Peshukuran Inc.
"I myself founded this company after working as a company employee while raising two children. Parenting is not a 'gap' — it is experience. Through this collaboration, I want to build a future in which families raising children can work more freely and more true to themselves."

"We want to create a circulation of social capital in which no one has to give up on their ambitions" — Masahiro Goto, President and CEO, ZenX Inc.
"This is a challenge to update the very structure of society. We will realize a 'circular social capital' in which parenting and career can go hand in hand."
Future Outlook
Going forward, the companies will partner with career support schools and side-job and parallel-career support services to help parents and childcare staff acquire skills and work more flexibly. They aim to support a cumulative 200,000 people in re-challenging their careers by 2030.
